If you have received an email saying that your subscription has been changed, this will be explained below.
If you have seen on your Cookiebot account that the number of subpages identified by the Cookiebot scanner has changed and thereby the subscription size, this will also be covered below.
How is the subscription size determined? Can I choose it myself?
When the Cookiebot scanner scans your domain for cookies and trackers, it also determines the number of subpages on that domain. It is the number of subpages on (each of) your domain(s) that determines the subscription size needed and this is set automatically (see below).
Why has my subscription been changed to a larger (and more expensive) size?
If you have recently opened an account on cookiebot.com or if you have recently added a (new) domain, the first full scan of your website will complete within app. 24 hours. If, during this scan, it is determined that your website has more than 50 pages and does not qualify for the 'free subscription' then you will receive an email about it from us. Please see: Why does your scanner say that my website has more than 50 pages? and if you are using WordPress please see: According to WordPress I have fewer than 50 pages on my website. Why does your scanner say that I have more than 50?
If you are on a premium subscription and have received an email saying that your subscription has been changed to a larger subscription size, you can check the number of subpages identified and see an URL list of these:
- Log in to your account https://manage.cookiebot.com/goto/login
- Go to the menu point ‘Cookies’
- Choose your domain from the tabs (if you have multiple domains)
- See the subscription size and number of subpages identified on the top of the page
- If you click on the number of subpages (hyperlink), a URL list with up to 10,000 of the subpages identified by our scanner will download.

Where can I see my subscription size and price?
If you are currently on a free 1-month trial because your domain has more than 50 pages, then you can order a free quote (which will also include the number of subpages identified). Please note that when you upgrade to a Premium subscription, your free trial period will end and your website will be scanned in-depth. The number of subpages as well as the subscription size will then be visible on your account (please see below for instructions).
If you are currently on a premium subscription, you can check your subscription size in this way:
- Log in to your account https://manage.cookiebot.com/goto/login
- Go to the menu point ‘Cookies’
- Choose your domain from the tabs (if you have multiple domains)
- See the subscription size and number of subpages identified on the top of the page
- Check the corresponding subscription price - https://www.cookiebot.com/goto/pricing/ please note that you can change your currency from the bottom of the footer
I have reduced the number of subpages on my website – can I get back on a smaller subscription size?
If you have received an email from us saying that your account has been upgraded to a free 1-month trial with full functionality and you have now reduced the number of subpages to below 50 pages, please see: My subscription has been changed from a free subscription to a 1-month trial (Premium). How do I get back on the free subscription?
If you are currently on a Premium Medium or Large subscription and have reduced the number of subpages so that it falls within another subscription bracket, then the scanner will detect this during the next scan of your website and will automatically adjust the subscription size accordingly. You do not need to do anything.
Please see How does the Cookiebot scanner define pages on a website? and if in doubt, you are welcome to order a free quote (which will also include the number of subpages identified). You can see our pricing here: https://www.cookiebot.com/goto/pricing
