If the cookie consent banner or the cookie declaration is not showing on your website after you have implemented the Cookiebot scripts, it is most likely that you have not authorized the domain name of your website in the Cookiebot Manager. You should also check if the consent banner is active by opening the domain with "incognito/private" mode.
Follow these steps to authorize your domain:
- Under the 'Domains'-section in the Cookiebot Manager, add the domain name of your website (e.g. "www.mywebsite.com") by clicking the
button on the left-hand side of the table named "Domain name" and enter the domain name. If you would like to add more domains, click the green plus sign again. If you would like to remove a domain, click the small grey icon with the cross on the right hand side.
- If multiple domain names are pointing at the exact same website (e.g. "www.mywebsite.com" and "mywebsite.com", which technically are two different domains), Cookiebot will automatically detect this and you only need to add the domain once. If you have subdomains (e.g. "events.mywebsite.com" or "en.mywebsite.com"), then you need to add each subdomain.
- If you have any internal domains that you use for testing, development and staging (non-production domains), you can add those in the table named "Domain alias" (premium subscription only). Follow the same procedure: click the green plus icon and add the domain. Repeat if needed.
4. Save your settings by clicking the save button on the left-hand side.
