What are Domain Aliases in the Cookiebot Admin?

Premium subscribers have the option to add "domain aliases". These are essentially intended to be used for staging sites, where you can test your banner without having to test on your production/live domain.
Contrary to domains, you can add IP-addresses (for example 127.0.0.1).

To indicate that the banner is intended for testing purposes, the banner will clearly be marked with "TEST". If you see the "TEST" watermark on your production website, ensure that your production domain is not listed as a domain alias.

You can add as many domain aliases as you like at no additional cost.

Adding a domain alias

Please follow the following steps to add domain aliases:

1. Log into the Admin.
2. Select "Domains & Aliases" from the left-hand menu.
3. Select the domain you want to add (an) alias(es) to.
   At the bottom of the screen, click the "+ Add Domain Alias" button.
   
4. Enter the URL to the test domain (omitting http(s)://) in the text field labeled "Add Alias" and click the "Add domain alias" to add the domain alias.
