Once Privacy-First Website Analytics is active and tracking data, your dashboard gives you a real-time overview of how visitors interact with your website. This article describes the main sections of the analytics interface.
Main Dashboard
The main dashboard provides a high-level summary of your website's performance. Key metrics include:
- Sessions: The number of individual visits to your site within the selected time period.
- Pageviews: The total number of pages viewed across all sessions.
- Unique visitors: An estimated count of distinct visitors, based on anonymized identifiers.
- Traffic trends: A visual breakdown of how these metrics change over time, helping you spot patterns and anomalies.
Use the date range selector at the top of the dashboard to compare different time periods and track progress over time.
Consent-aware view
The dashboard includes a consent-aware section that shows how your visitors' consent decisions affect your data visibility. Specifically, it illustrates the difference between:
- Data captured from visitors who accepted analytics cookies — richer, more detailed behavioral data.
- Data captured from visitors who declined or have not yet responded — anonymized, cookieless data only.
This view helps you understand the real impact of your consent acceptance rate on the completeness of your analytics.
Cookieless insights panel
This section highlights the additional traffic captured through cookieless tracking — visits from users who declined or had not yet responded to the Cookiebot banner. Without privacy-first analytics, this portion of your traffic would be entirely invisible.
The cookieless insights panel helps you quantify the value of having a consent-independent tracking layer running alongside your standard analytics.
Custom Dashboards
On Pro and Custom Enterprise plans, you can create custom dashboards that bring together selected reports from across the platform into a single focused view. This is useful for building role-specific views — for example, a marketing-focused dashboard showing only traffic and campaign data.
To create a custom dashboard:
- Go to Main Dashboards.
- Click Create New Dashboard.
- Select the reports and metrics you want to include.
- Save and name your dashboard.
Note: Custom Dashboards are only available on Pro and Custom Enterprise plans. On other plans, you will have access to the standard pre-built dashboards only.
