FAQ
How is Website Analytics activated?
Website Analytics is activated directly from Cookiebot Admin. Once activated, the analytics module is automatically connected to your domains and starts collecting data according to your consent setup.
Do I need to add any code snippet to my website?
No. You don't need to add any additional code snippets to your website. Website Analytics is activated directly from Cookiebot Admin. Once enabled, the analytics script is automatically added to your website through the existing Cookiebot CMP script and follows your current consent configuration. No manual implementation or extra tagging is required.
Does this change my existing Cookiebot setup?
No. Website Analytics does not change your banner configuration, consent categories, or existing Cookiebot setup. It runs alongside your current configuration.
How does consent affect analytics data?
Website Analytics respects the consent state defined in Cookiebot:
- Before consent, data is collected in privacy mode.
- After consent, full analytics mode applies.
This happens automatically, without additional configuration.
Is this cookieless?
Yes. Website Analytics uses a privacy-first, cookieless tracking method.
Does this affect GDPR compliance or others?
No. This module is designed to work in harmony with Cookiebot's consent model and does not rely on tracking cookies.
Can I remove Website Analytics?
Yes. You can remove or disable the module at any time from Cookiebot Admin. No long-term commitment is required during the pilot.
Can I use this on multiple domains?
Yes, but each domain requires activation within Cookiebot Admin.
How is this billed?
During the pilot, Website Analytics is billed separately from your Cookiebot subscription. Billing details are shared during activation and before any paid usage starts.
Will I receive notifications before the trial ends?
Yes. You will be informed before the end of the trial period and before any paid usage begins.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
If you have questions related to setup, activation, or usage, you can contact Cookiebot Support directly via the support form.
