Cookiebot supports 48 languages for your cookie banner's text (buttons, headings, and category names). You can choose which of these to use, plus set a default language for visitors whose browser language isn't included.

Cookie purpose descriptions and language support
The cookie banner is available in 48 languages, which includes the descriptions of individual cookies.
If you add a new language after your site was already scanned: the cookie descriptions for that language won't appear until you run a new scan.
Which banner is shown
Which banner is shown depends on the user's browser language settings. If the user's browser language is not included in your banner setup, the default language is shown. You choose the default language in your banner setup.
Examples:
- You have added English as a language in your banner setup.
My browser's language is set to English.
Upon visiting the website from my browser, I will be presented with the English banner. - You have added English as the default banner language, but have not added French as a banner language.
My browser's language is set to French.
Upon visiting the website, I will be presented with the (default) English banner. - You have added English as the default banner language, but have also added French as a banner language.
My browser language is set to French.
Upon visiting the website, I will be presented with the French banner.
