Can I use your compliance test to promote Cookiebot to my customers?

Can I use the test to sell Cookiebot to my (potential) customers?

You are welcome to order a compliance test for one of your customers' websites. Often, when presented with the results, the website owner is surprised to learn of the amount of cookies and online trackers in use on the website. Presenting a solution for how to deal with those cookies and trackers in a GDPR and ePR compliant way is often a good way to start a sales dialogue.

There is no cost associated with taking the test. Just bear in mind that it is only a partial test and not a full scan of the website (see above article for details).

It is possible to have a price quote for the domain included with the test result. Many customers are unsure of the size of their website (and thereby the subscription price) and many customers believe that their websites are much smaller than they actually are. Therefore, being transparent about the number of subpages and the corresponding subscription price up front could be helpful.

Can I implement the test interface on my own website?

It is currently not possible to include the test on your own website. However, we are working on being able to offer this feature via an API as several of our resellers have requested it. At this time, we cannot guarantee when it will be ready but all registered resellers will be informed.

Are you sending this type of test directly to my customers?

Please note that if a customer (or potential customer) of yours goes to the Cookiebot website and takes the test, he will receive an email with the test results from us. Links included in the email will not contain your unique reseller link as we cannot check if the test has been requested by one of your customers. We are not, however, approaching your customers (or anyone else for that matter) with this type of test. It is only sent out when ordered from our website by the customer himself.
