We recently added Cookiebot using the GTM set-up guide. After implementation we saw our direct traffic rise but our organic and paid traffic decrease, on top of this we also saw out form sign ups decrease.
The tracking could be down to users choosing cookie options etc. but is there any reason why the Cookiebot would stop our events from firing and tracking?
We did pause the Cookiebot in GTM for a day and the numbers for the event tracking went back up, so it does seem to be related.
