Why doesn't it let me select the US while excluding CA for CCPA purposes?

Hi

We've set up a cookie banner that we want to use for every location in the world except California. For CA, we have a "Do Not Sell My Information etc." version. 

However, the Distribution option forces me to select both the US and California, or neither option. How can I set it so our standard banner shows for every US state user other than CA?

  Hello there,

  Thanks for your question.

  To have a setup where California works different from the rest of the US, you would need two domain groups.

  1. The first domain group will remain unchanged and contain your domain - you can set this to the entire US.
  2. The second domain group will be empty, which means no domain in it at all. This can be set to California only.

  A setup like this will ensure the functionality which you're looking for.
