DNS failure for consent.cookiebot.com // Public Status page for Cookiebot
Last thursday, there was a DNS failure where consent.cookiebot.com did not resolve for about an hour ( around 6 p.m in UTC+2/Germany )
This was resulting in about one hour of analytics data being lost, since we do load our analytics code only if explicit consent is detected - no cookiebot means no consent, means no analytics.
I was not online at the time and so did not report the issue here, but I wonder that it did not appear in this forum. Any explanation what happened? How about a public status page, like other service providers have, where outages can be seen - that could be helpful even in hindsight when tracking down error reports or anomalies in analytics data.

Hi Ulrich,
The issue was caused by a larger issue with our CDN, which affected many sites worldwide. We are looking into improving our setup, in terms of redundancy and failover options, as well as alerting and the option of a status page.
