Consents: Understanding the statistics
I am trying to understand the daily numbers presented for opt-in's and opt'outs. Lets say consent expiration is set to 12 months. If a user visits a website today, and clicks 'only necessary' cookies, that will count as an opt-out.
If the same user visits the same website a week later, will that count in the opt-out statistics on that specific day or is the user "invisible" for the next 12 months?

Hello,
Ulrich's reply is correct. We only record what is legally required, so the log only contains entries for users that have interacted with the banner or implicitly given consent. We do not record repeat visits or users that ignore the banner.

Good question.
As far as *I* can interpret the stats, the numbers refer only to interactions with the dialog, so in your example the user is "invisible" - unless they open up the dialog to change their preferences
It would be helpful, though, to have this verified by Cookiebot staff.
