What happens if a new cookie is added or deleted
Suppose we have a certain number of cookies, and the user has given a consent. This is valid for next 12 months. But in the meantime, a new cookie is added in the website. Then will the consent window appear again?
What is the case if some existing cookies are removed? Will the window appear in such case?

Hi Tasnim,
The user consent is given to a purpose e.g. marketing, statistics and not a specific cookie. The purposes could be "preference", "statistics", "marketing", that is why different cookies are assigned to specific cookie categories.
If new cookies have arrived after acceptance, the user has still consented to the purpose, which has not changed, so the consent window would not appear again. However, if the customer any how wants to obtain new consent from the visitors, he can click "Renew consents" under the "Consents" tab in the Cookiebot Manager, after which all visitor's will be prompted for a new consent on their next visit to the website. More information about how to renew consent could be found here: https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004553893-Renew-existing-user-consents

Dear Spas,
Thank you for your response.
We have come to know that Cookiebot scans the website once in each month. So I assume from your reply that, if the next scan finds new cookies, still then the consent window will not appear. Am I correct on this? Could you please let me know?

Hi Tasnim,
No, the consent banner/dialog would not appear again if there are new cookies, because the consent is given for a specific cookie category. For example, in case that the user has been given a consent about marketing cookies and there are new cookies added in this category then it means that the user already accept marketing cookies and the consent window would not pop-up again.
However, I am mentioned above you could manually ask visitors to renew their consent and also assign the new added cookies to appropriate cookie category.Regards,
