  • Hi Dennis,

    This is unusual behavior of the Cookiebot admin panel and it sounds like some front-end javascript error. 
    My guess so far is that this might be a specific configuration error, but I could not be sure unless I can see the bug. Could you please look in your browser's developer console for any JS-error messages. This would be very helpful because if there is any error messages we could find out what might went wrong and help you solve the issue afterwards instead of guessing.

    I've checked DEV browser tools and there are a couple of JS-error messages. You'll find them beneath:

  • Hi Dennis,

    From the console error messages that you have sent does not get clear what might cause the problem. So I would like to ask you for some more information in order to understand more about this issue and help you solve it afterwards instead of guessing. 
    Could you please give me more information about your configuration of the banner and declaration? Are you using "custom" version of any of those, and if so, can you please forward the code that you are trying to save, so that we can see if your custom code is causing the error in the manager when you try to save the configuration. 
    I am asking for that because we think that this might be the reason why you could not save the configuration.

    Hi Spas,

    same here, we have this issue since last Thursday. No change in the script areas was accepted after firing the save button. 

    Here's a screenshot - the jquery error in the console appears after 2 mins of AJAX-Loading.

    Hi Michael,

    We have now fixed the issue that caused the timeout when saving custom dialogs.

    It was an issue with escape characters that was not handled properly.

    For example in the case of FontAwesome when you use the CSS approach with the content property starting with \f.
    This would be converted to the escape character "form feed", which is not valid in CSS.
