What do you mean by scan frequency. How can we update the cookie details in case of any changes.

  • Hi Rajesh PR,

The scan dates are fully automated – the first scan is being done on the day the domain is first added to your Cookiebot account and then scans are automatically performed in monthly intervals exactly 1 month after (unless you choose to have daily scans). There is not currently a way to set the scans to a certain date or day of the week, say the first Monday of each month.

From the menu point 'Cookies' on your Cookiebot account, you can see when the last scan was performed and when the next scan is scheduled. If you have more than one domain on your account, choose the tab with the domain name.

When the scan of your domain is done, the changes in the website/cookies are being documented and could be found on both your scan report and CookieDeclaration.

    Regards,
    Spas

    Hi Spas,

    Thanks for the quick response.

So I understand scan is done monthly to identigy the changes in the cookies from the respective websites.

In case of any new deployment, once or twice in the year. Can I request for the cookie scan manually?

  • Hi Rajesh PR,

Of course. As I mentioned the monthly scans are performed automatically, but you could always initiate a new scan on your domain whenever you want.
In case that you make major changes to your website and need an additional scan sooner than the planned one, you can manually initiate a new scan. This is done by clicking the “Scan domain now” button, which you will find in the “Cookies” menu of the Cookiebot Manager.

    Regards,
    Spas
