Can i setup a "Default" Cookie for Cookiebot to scan?
AnsweredWe use Cookiebot on our Clients Website (Paid) and suddenly the Report told me it found only one Cookie. That Cookie is the consent Cookie set by Cookiebot.
Because we implemented Cookiebot via GTM we also had to set the CookielLevel of or CMS System to 0. This CookieLevel is increasing to 200 if the User Accepts any of the Cookies allowing the System to Track the Customer.
Now I have the following questions:
- When I normal user is going to the site and accept the cookies and browse through the page it will automatically get the Cookies. - Is Cookiebot also doing this? If so why does it not get the correct Cookies?
- Is there a possibility to set a Default Cookie just for Cookiebot to Scan? (e.g CookieLevel with Value 200)

Hi Alexander,
Correct me if I am wrong, I could not be sure without seeing your domain but it seems you are using two systems to ensure cookie compliance, both Cookiebot and other one built in your CMS (Which looks to be Kentico when i search for cookielevel - https://docs.kentico.com/k11/configuring-kentico/adding-cookie-law-consent-to-web-pages/cookie-levels )
About your question, Cookiebot scans the site like a normal user would navigate it and simulates many different types of user interactions. All cookies set in a users browser will be found by the Cookiebot scanner. If the site is behind login, the scanner needs to be configured to log in for this to work
However, Cookiebot can't include a default custom cookie in its requests - Getting the login to work correctly should be sufficient in order to find all cookies and let these be controlled by Cookiebot - It may cause conflicts or unexpected behavior to have two different solutions both managing cookies.Regards,

I running on Kentico 10 so there is not GDPR function in there only the CookieLevel can be set.
However I tried to add a Cookie manually and now it scans the full site.Does Cookiebot Scan the site with full consenting given? If so, I wonder why it was only finding one cookie.
I added the cookie manually yesterday, did a scan and now all cookies are listed.

Hi Alexander,
I think that the Self-declared cookies is exactly the function you are looking for.
When adding a self-declared cookie in the manager, the Cookiebot scanner will take this and use it in requests.Regards,

Strangely I didn´t find this in any Guides and I only knew that this should work because someone in the forum mentioned it. Th for the confirmation!
