  • Hi Sam,

If you want to build a custom banner, you need to apply your own coding logic and the available HTML placeholders and naming conventions. There is an instruction including more information about what is provided as a basis that will help you build your custom banner: https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003921454-Can-I-build-my-own-fully-customized-cookie-consent-banner

If you generally like one of the existing templates available, you can simply style that template using the built-in customization features (colors and logo) available in the premium subscription as well as additional CSS styling that you add. See Can I style the cookie consent banner?

    Hello Eline,

    Thanks for the reply.

I do like the existing templates but what I don't want to style it, but edit the html code.

I could build my own custom banner with my own code available placeholders and naming conventions, but I would rather receive the already existing code for the banner. Because I only want to edit a thing of two.

Can you provide me the existing template code (with placeholders and naming conventions), so I can easily edit them?

    Regards,

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

We do not offer our templates for editing and we do not support implementation of custom banners. We offer a large range of customizable predefined banners that suit most needs and for the clients that prefer full control over the banner we offer the option to build their banner from scratch and make available the necessary placeholders to do so.

    Regards,
    Elina

    Hello Elina,

I would like to ask a question since you don't offer templates:

Is there a way to make the overlay template selection of cookies work like:

If the user clicks accept all cookie, work as usual, in case the user clicks settings and the list shows how to make marketing unchecked? injecting custom JS or any other way?

    Best regards,

    Ibrahim

    Hi Ibrahim,

We've developed a couple of custom banner which behave exactly like you describe.

    Have a look at https://www.cookieinfo.net/cookieinfo-custom-banners/

Beware it's all in Dutch ;-)

    regards,
