Non-EU traffic bounce rate dropped 15% after Cookiebot deployement

Hi Cookiebot Community,

We have recently deployed our Cookiebot implementation live into our production site and have noticed a significant decline in the bounce rate for our site traffic. We understand that this should be expected behavior for EU based traffic as GA is blocked from firing so we lose all statistics for users not providing consent for it to operate there, but we seem to also be noticing the decline in our non-EU traffic which we are concerned about.

Could there potentially be a bug that Cookiebot is incorrectly firing on some of our non-EU site users? Or is it a case of a race condition where the GA traffic tracking tag has not deployed on our non-EU sites yet due to a delay from some Cookiebot processing?

  Maybe 15% of your users declined the GA cookie?

  Given the cookie popup is only presented to EU customers that doesn't sound like a possibility.
