- We use Google Analytics. We have Google Advertising Features enabled, all of them.
- CookieBot successfully detects all involved cookies and categorizes them appropriately (some Statistics, some Marketing).
- We use GTM and have implemented CookieBot through it and changed the trigger on the GA tag to fire based on prior consent.
Problem: Users that allow Statistics cookies will trigger the GAU script. This sets all of Google's cookies, statistics for Analytics and the Marketing ones. On the other hand, if we set the GA tag to fire for those that accept Statistics and Marketing, we miss out on tracking (GA) all people that only accepted Statistics.
Question: How do we use GA with Marketing Features enabled and CookieBot to ensure we honor the visitors preferences/opt-in for the different cookie categories?
