Taking into account pages that are not pages for the quote

  • Hi Laura,

In case you believe that your domain has 100 pages or less, but you are receiving an invoice from Cookiebot or seeing your domain listed as a premium subscription on your Cookiebot account you should check this article.

Number of pages according to Wordpress and the number of pages according to the Cookiebot scanner may likely differ. This could be the reason Cookiebot is asking you to upgrade your plan. We have an article regarding this case, which you can check here.

Also here you could check how Cookiebot scanner define pages on a website.

Please have in mind that Cookiebot counts as pages different post and articles, and this might be the reason why it says that you have more pages than you think. I hope that this will help you figure out what is the issue.

    Regards,

Note that you may have a plug-in or script that is generating "pages" that aren't actually "on" your site.

On my educational website, I have a link to an affiliate's script. Clicking on that link (and entering your ZIP code, if you haven't already been geo-located by IP address) causes the affiliate's service to provide a listing of tutors in your local area.

As far as CookieBot's scanner is concerned, these localized listings, provided by a third party but displaying within a template for my site, comprise nearly all of the pages for "my" site. So, while my actual site has five-hundred-some pages, my provision of this affiliate's service means that my page-count is "more than 5,000".

    Eliz.

    Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. I already had this concern for another client site and a member of your support to add a script for the CookieBot scanner to take into account only what it should take into account.

The Seine Financement site has 20 articles and 30 pages. Even if there are hidden pages or articles, I received a quote saying that my website https://www.seinefinancement.fr has 197 pages. And in the list of scanned URLs, I can very clearly see photo URLs.

Can you do the necessary to perform the same operation as on the site http://www.cheminees-origine.com for which I had the same problem? (with this time filters and categories but I think the concern is the same).

Thank you in advance and have a great day.

  • Hi Laura,

I think that the best solution is you to limit the number of pages, whenever possible. As you mentioned "image pages" and it's a typical WordPress attachment/upload page. Please check this link out - https://themeisle.com/blog/redirect-wordpress-attachment-pages/
Here is shown how you can reduce the number of image pages and you can "remove" these pages by yourself. We do also apply global filters and because this is something that helped you in your previous case however we cannot "fix" the wordpress attachment pages with such a filter. Hope that this will help you.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.
We made the manipulation indicated in your link and after receiving a new estimate, there are only 49 pages taken into account.
However, our CookieBot account is "no longer active" since I had to take a premium subscription in order to continue to have access to it.

Can you take the necessary steps to reactivate the account without having to create a new one in order to keep the same scripts?

    Have a good day !

    Laura
