Cookiebot GTM and Wordpress
hi i am not really a web developer altho i work in Tech
I have managed to following the cookiebot support to enable cookiebot using Googletag manager on my wordpress website but the moment i add the script to my header it seems to break the layout of my website.
it stops SliderRevolutions work with an error about jQuery.js library and also seems to affect the layout of my site in general.
would anyone be happy to assist me to get this working correctly with ‘prior consent’ fully implemented?

Hi Ieew87,
You could check the following Cookiebot implementation guide for WordPress:
https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003815613-WordPress-installation-without-using-the-plugin-
and the Google Tag Manager deployment article https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003793854-Google-Tag-Manager-deployment
However, I recommend you to use the Cookiebot Plugin for Wordpress because it is much more easier to install and set. Also using the plugin does not require a developer knowledge.
The above described issue is most likely caused by wrong Cookiebot script implementation and that is why you receive an error about jQuery.js and the SliderRevolutions stopped working.Regards,

Hi, can you clarify. If you use the Wordpress plugin, entering your GTM ID and enabling Google Consent Mode, etc, do you also need to add the Cookiebot Tag to Google Tag Manager?

Hello Dave G.
When using the plugin, you do not need to add the Cookiebot tag to GTM.
However, you still need to configure GTM triggers to block the cookies it sets.
You can find the triggers in this article: https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009192739-Google-Tag-Manager-and-Automatic-cookie-blocking0
