Css saved incorrectly

  • Hi Lars,

    Could you please provide us with more information about the above described issue since this is unusual behavior. Please describe where this checkbox is placed and how it works with Cookiebot. Any information about the issue would be very useful and appreciated.
    Also could you tell us it this CSS style is added by Cookiebot or you have added it to an element. Because in this case it could be overwritten by Cookiebot (but this is just guessing since I do not know the exact case scenario).

    Hi Spas,

    Thanks for your response. We are using a custom template dialog. In the css we have a styling on a checkbox input:

    #cookiebanner input[type=checkbox]:checked+label:after,
    #cookiebanner input[type=checkbox]:checked+span:after {
    color: #fff;
    content: "\2713";
    text-align: center;
    font-size: 20px;
    background: none;
    opacity: 1;
    -ms-transform: scale(1);
    transform: scale(1);
    }

    The above is the original css. However, after every save, the:

    "\2713"

    is replaced by:

    "¹3"

    Looks like the css is compiled on some way (or maybe saved in the database in a different UTF encoding).

    Can this be fixed?

  • Hi Lars,

    As a workaround and fix of the above described issue I would suggest you to embed some or all of the CSS-code in the CSS-file on the site itself. In this way the banner will still adopt the style-definitions from there and prevent the CSS to be parsed incorrectly.

    Regards,
    Spas
