Problems with Stay22 Integration

  • Hi Christian,

Could you please provide me a bit more information about the issue, for example where the maps should be displayed on the page (maybe some images), steps to reproduce the issue, etc. Could you also please tell us if the maps are not working at all after implementing Cookiebot or the maps are not working only if cookies are not allowed (maps are working after allowing cookies). Any information would be useful so we could investigate the issue further more and help you solve it afterwards.

    Regards,
    Spas

    Hi Spas,

thanks for getting back to me. So the map is included in thousands of pages and is essential for these pages and our business case. The map should display on a page like this: http://bit.ly/2NJMDTl

Since it doesn't i will add some screenshots before/after the cookiebot implementation so that you can see what happens. The stay22 script usually triggers an iframe which does not happen when cookiebot is implemented, wether you accept the cookies or not does not matter, just the fact of the cookiebot.js beeing there leads to this.

Please let me know if you have any more questions. We hope to find a solution here - if not we cannot stick with the cookiebot solution since this partnership is important to us.

    Thx in advance

    Christian

  • Hi Christian,

It seems that the problem occurs because of the event listener you are using. As far we can see you are using an event listener DOMContentLoaded, but by the time Cookiebot has cleared the script, that event will already have happened. So basically it'll wait forever and would not load the maps.
As a solution we suggest that you can tackle this by using one of the other Cookiebot events from cookiebot.com/goto/developer or simply removing the listener.

    Regards,
    Spas

    Hi Spas,

thank you for your reply. Since i am not a developer this sounds strange to me. How do i remove the listener or how do i change it to another cookiebot event? Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Christian
