Cookiebot provides a number of localisation possibilities. This is often used by companies outside of the European Union who wish to display the cookie consent banner and obtain the required consent from EU website users - while at the same time providing an unchanged user experience for their local/non-EU website users.
Display the cookie consent banner and obtain consent only from EU website users:
The cookie consent banner can be displayed to users from the EU only (or from which ever countries or regions you prefer) (premium subscription only). This can easily be handled from the backend Manager: Can I display the cookie consent banner to EU users only?
Display the cookie consent banner in multiple languages based on the users' browser language:
If you would like to display the banner in different languages (based on the user's browser language), then you can do that, too. This can be done independently on the language versions of the website itself: How do I set the language of the consent banner/dialog?
Display the cookie consent banner in different language depending on the language(s) of your website:
You may have a website with multiple language versions or specific language areas such as www.example.com/de and www.example.com/es. In that case you can ensure that the cookie consent banner is being displayed in the same language as the particular page on your website: Make CMS control language. If you are using Google Tag Manager, please see: Multilingual support when using GTM.
