Introduction
While Cookiebot is not being discontinued for any existing customers, new accounts are now exclusively onboarded to our next-generation platform, Usercentrics Web CMP.
Usercentrics Web CMP includes all the core Cookiebot features, in addition to enhanced automation, greater customization options, and advanced analytics capabilities. It’s designed to give you more control and insight while maintaining the simplicity and pricing you’re used to.
To get started, simply follow the redirection to set up your new Usercentrics Web CMP account. You’ll be guided through a quick onboarding process to configure your consent solution.
Our Support Team is here for you should you need assistance.
Please note
If you're an existing Cookiebot user, your current setup remains unchanged and fully supported. You will also still be able to add additional domains to existing accounts. No action is needed unless you're setting up a new account.
Determining your platform
During the transitional phase it can be confusing to establish which CMP you've signed up for. Afterall both services are very similar and with Cookiebot CMP's core features having been added to Usercentrics Web CMP, the distinction becomes even less clear.
This guide is intended to provide clarity and address any questions you may have.
These are some of the easiest indicators:
- Log into your account and check the URL.
- https://admin.cookiebot.com indicates that you are on a Cookiebot CMP subscription.
- https://account.usercentrics.eu or https://admin.usercentrics.eu indicates that you are on a Usercentrics Web CMP subscription.
- Look at the logo in the top left corner of the Admin, or the top right corner of the consent banner.
- In the Admin and on a Cookiebot consent banner, the logo will read "Usercentrics Cookiebot".
- On the Usercentrics Web CMP consent banner the logo will read "Usercentrics Web Consent Management Platform". In the Admin the logo will simply read "Usercentrics".
- Inspect your consent banner.
- A Cookiebot CMP banner will solely inform about cookies, grouped in categories: "necessary", "preferences", "statistics", "marketing".
- A Usercentrics Web CMP banner will describe Data Processing Services, which include tracking information. These will be grouped in categories: "essential", "functional", and "marketing".
- Check the ID that you need to inject the CMP script into your website.
- A Cookiebot Domain Group ID looks similar to this:
0123456789ab-cdef-0123-4567-89abcdef
(12 hexadecimals, followed by a dash, followed by 3 sets of 4 hexadecimals and a dash, and ending with 8 hexadecimals). - A Usercentrics Settings-ID looks similar to this:
AbcDEFgh
(A string of up to 14 characters in length, which can include upper- and lower case letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores).
- A Cookiebot Domain Group ID looks similar to this:
If you're trying to log into an existing account and get into a setup flow you are most likely trying to log into the wrong platform.
Pricing
Since all new signups will be funneled to the Usercentrics Web CMP, so you'll see the pricing tiers for this platform when you visit the Cookiebot pricing page rather than the pricing structure for Cookiebot CMP. If you for any reason still need the pricing overview for Cookiebot CMP you can still find it by following this link.
